Ever since Instagram was introduced, millions of people all over the world downloaded the app. Instagram appeals to multiple different demographics, and welcomes anyone to join, just as any other social media would. Celebrities worldwide have also taken to expressing themselves or making their presence known on the app. The personalities that I have investigated and followed all have a unique existence with their page.
When Instagram was initially released, the intention for the app was to simply post photography and artistry. The visual artist that I followed on Instagram was Richard Mehl. On his page, he mainly posts scenic imagery, and has garnered nearly 3,000 followers.
The celebrity I followed from the film industry was Tom Holland. He is well known for his portrayal as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has starred in other films such as In the Heart of the Sea, and The Lost City of Z. On Instagram, he has over 32.3 million followers checking out his content. He mainly posts a lot of selfies, many of which feature people from the movies he’s been in and some events he went to.
The personality I followed that had gained his celebrity status via the app is Dan Bilzerian. He has attained over 28.7 million followers on Instagram. He mainly posts pictures of his lifestyle, which includes him hanging out with countless females in bikinis.
